it's up!

I saw that the link on Amazon was up, and someone told me that the Wiley link was live, too, with the cover photo! So here you are, ladies and gentlemen, Knitting in the Sun. The pattern on the cover is a beautiful summery aran wrap called Anacapa. It's knit in a hemp blend yarn and designed by Kendra Nitta. Shot on location at Windansea Beach in LJ, CA by photographer, Stephen Simpson. The model is my daughter, Zoe. Very cool.

so awesome! congratulations!

This is gorgeous! I am so excited! Congratulations!

Wow! Zoe's going to see herself on bookshelves. How odd but so very cool ;-)
On the subject of fame and youth – we were in Borders in St Louis the other day and I walked past a whole long shelf full of dolls of Miley Cyrus in her Hannah Montana roll . Hundreds of bobble headed dolls with – obviously – the same face staring down at me and I did find myself thinking about how that must feel... to see yourself in molded plastic. To almost never have a moment in your life when you are annonymous. Don't let them make dolls of her... well only a few ;-)
Anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing the book. Thank God for Amazon. I should be a shareholder.

It's beautiful Kristi - congratulations!

Yay! It's beautiful. Congratulations!

I need to blog about this soon.

Your daughter is a magnificent model.
