feeling fallish
The book stuff is drawing to a frenetic close and there is, finally, time for extra-curricular knitting. A multi-directional diagonal scarf in some handspun. Really this is a perfect project for yarns with a lot of variability. Forgiving to variations in gauge and perfect to highlight the charming foibles of handspun.
And also, my color rut showing again, though now that it's fall, it seems perfect. A baby surprise jacket in Lorna's Laces Green Line Worsted and some leftover Paintbox. Seems just right for the Northwesty baby it'll adorn.

So, is the pattern for this scarf in your new book or is this just so easy that a knitter would already know how to make it? Can you tell I am just starting out with learning to knit? I love the look of it! |
